Over 120 people gathered at the Mickle Center to honor and celebrate volunteers nominated by the neighborhood associations of Des Moines on April 24, 2008.  The annual Alice Rodine Potluck and Recognition Dinner was filled with food, fun, and a few tears.  Each year, neighborhoods are asked to nominate one business, one city staff person, and community volunteer that has demonstrated outstanding leadership in their neighborhood.  Every nominee is recognized for all their hard work and dedication to the community.  Below is a list of this year's winners.
